Wanting a different wedding venue?  I had the pleasure recently of visiting the Loyd Lindsay Rooms near Wantage in the pretty village of Ardington, Oxfordshire.  This unique venue is in a perfect location: rural, bucolic, yet only minutes from the A34 and the M4.  The cities of Oxford, Swindon and Newbury are all within easy reach.

This venue is  light, bright, airy and the flexibility of the venue lends itself perfectly to wedding celebration ceremonies, vow renewals, baby naming ceremonies.   Although it doesn’t have a licence for marriages, it is an easy step to register your marriage at the Registrar’s office, and then you can have your ceremony here at Loyd Lindsay Rooms.   It has ample parking too.

There is a fabulous catering company available (although you are not obliged to use them), and Tracey of Corks and Canapés really does produce the most wonderful food (on the day I was there, they were making Christmas cakes – the smell was heavenly!).   There is an alcohol licence too, so no problem about toasting your event!

I loved the outdoor space, and you can have wonderful ceremonies in this lovely private courtyard area.  It would look magical at night, lit by candles and fairy lights.   Karen Smith, who runs the venue, will discuss decorating the space indoors and outdoors for you, and she really does go the extra mile to ensure your day is perfect.  You really can have a truly wonderful day.    Contact Karen for more information via their website at http://www.loydlindsayrooms.co.uk
