Think outside the box – you don’t have to have your ceremony at the Register Office or the local hotel… how about by a lake, in a barn, up a mountain, in the village hall? If you want something different, don’t just change the colours of your chair sashes – go REALLY different!
You have the option of having a ‘Registration Only’ ceremony at your local register office. After ‘notifying your intention to marry’ (at a cost of £35 each) after a minimum of 15 days have elapsed (28 days from 2 Mar), you can complete the legal paperwork for £49 (which includes the cost of your marriage licence).
A wonderful outdoor wedding at a village hall with beautiful touches. The bride and groom ensured it remained simple, heartfelt and natural.
You can then have your bespoke wedding ceremony – to include all the traditional elements such as walking down the aisle, being given away, your vows, your rings, blessings, readings, prayers and hymns if you wish, too – and this ceremony can be WHEREVER you want!
