About Judy

Judy Mansfield is a professionally trained Independent Celebrant, holding a Diploma in both Marriage and Funeral Celebrancy. She is available to carry out Celebrancy services internationally.

Judy will respect your wishes completely, to provide you with a service that is individual to you. She will meet with you, as often as you need, to listen and gather information from you. Judy will then design a ceremony that will delight and enrapture you and your guests. Whether your tastes are simple or poetic, traditional or modern, it is all about you. The service I provide for you will be one that you have been involved in from the outset, and that reflects your background, your beliefs, your culture and your personality. Judy will work on your ceremony until you say “Yes! That’s perfect – it is exactly what we want”.

Judy says:
“I spent 25 years working mainly in Whitehall and the City of London, and included writing papers for Government Ministers and the press, as well as public speaking engagements worldwide. Happily married to an RAF Officer for 25 years, I’ve lived in many locations, travelled extensively and I’ve experienced many different cultures. I’ve been to many, many weddings, christenings, funerals. I feel strongly that the best ones I have been to are those which were written for the people involved; not the usual “off the shelf” formulaic ceremonies that thousands of others have had, and where the Officiant, be it Registrar or Vicar, probably doesn’t even know the people involved. I have brought all these experiences to my work as a Celebrant; a role I am privileged to carry out and which I do with sensitivity and warmth, with gentle humour and with respect”.
